    Neighbourhood watch.

I slept late again last night. Technically, it wasn't night at all. I slept at approximately 3am, because of my NEIGHBOURS! Oh God I HATE them! I HATE the fact that I live right next to people who love to hold Karaoke marathons every Saturday. I HATE the fact that they don't even bother to close their screen door to block out the noise! It's TORTURE I tell you! And every song they sing is out-of-tune pa!

Last night I didn't get to do as much work as I hoped to accomplish because I couldn't concentrate. How could you? It's just so distracting! While you're trying to figure out Freud's theories, half of your brain is working towards guessing what song they're trying to sing! Last night, these drunk dudes were belting out "On the Wings of Love" at the top of their lungs!

And that's not all. I wake up almost every morning because their dog is barking like crazy. Sometimes, when you're trying to sleep, you just can't, because their gawddamn dogs are mating like there's no tomorrow. *Argh! GET A ROOM!*

But what I hate the most, is when I'm up in my room starving myself, but end up breaking my diet anyway. Why? Their kitchen is outdoors and when they cook, you can't help but sniff the aroma of steak and onions all the time! It's sooo annoying!

When I'm in the bathroom, I hear the phone ringing like crazy. I rush with "my business," only to find out that the ringing phone wasn't even ours to begin with!

Mental note to self- When I grow up and become all rich and famous, I'm gonna build a house half a kilometer away from neighbours. This is no way to live. No way.

    Super inis!!!

    Drinking beer makes you smarter!

Unlike some people I know, I DO NOT have a high tolerance to alcohol... so I am in no way addicted to drinking the same way I am with other things. Either way, I was ecstatic when I came across this article in Forbes magazine. Pretty interesting! =p

A herd of buffalo can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo, and when the herd is hunted, it is the slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first. This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole is maintained or even improved by the regular culling of the weakest members.

In much the same way, the human brain can operate only as fast as the slowest brain cells through which the electrical signals pass. Recent epidemiological studies have shown that while excessive intake of alcohol kills off brain cells, it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first.

Thus, regular consumption of beer, wine etc., helps eliminate the weaker cells, constantly making the brain a faster and more efficient machine. The result of this in-depth study verifies and validates the causal link between all-weekend parties and job related performance. It also explains why, after a few short years of leaving a university and getting married, most professionals cannot keep up with the performance of the new graduates. Only those few that stick to the strict regimen of voracious alcoholic consumption can maintain the intellectual levels that they achieve during their college years.

So, this is a call to arms. As our country is losing its technological edge, we cannot shudder in our homes. Get back into the bars. Quaff that pint. Your company and country need you to be at your peak, and you shouldn't deny yourself the career that you could have. Take life by the bottle and be all that you can be.

    *Cheers!*

    Someone just SHOOT ME!

I am the world's BIGGEST loser! I applied for this org in school, just because I don't have an org yet and the last org I applied to didn't work out. Anyway, the time is 10:04 am and I should be in school right about now getting interviewed by the org's "senior" members. So why the hell am I NOT there?

First of all, I have shitloads of work to do! I have a term paper to be submitted tomorrow, (and I haven't started typing it all out yet), a Creative Writing Fiction story to write (due on Tuesday), a Psych project to do, a Comm3 presentation on Thursday (for which I'm project manager), a French exam tomorrow, and a bunch of other exams coming up soon! I'm super stressed out right now, and I didn't need to know that I had an interview today of ALL things!

And it's not just any interview either! A classmate of mine was interviewed last semester and she cried the minute she left the org room. Pretty nerve-wracking I say! And the last thing I need right now is for my nerves to get "wracked" any more than they already are. The annoying thing is, I wouldn't mind doing an interview, but you know, it's the BLOODY TIMING! Why didn't the members even ask the applicants whether they were available or not? These past couple of weeks are just hell! I swear! I can just break down and cry right now from all the stress I'm experiencing!

To top it all off, I can't find a lighter anywhere! Just when I need a puff to release me from all this crap!

Oh, by the way, Britney Spears' new song "Do something" is playing in the background. How ironic... =p

    Come one! Come all!

Last night, I went to the UP fair with Friaz and Debbz. Despite the fact that I actually study in this school, and I live nearby, I ONLY had time to go on the second to the last day. That's what too much schoolwork does to you... you're not even up to a whole night of fun.

We arrived at precisely 12 midnight, in time to catch the good bands playing. I think Slapshock were the ones performing when we "forced" ourselves through the crowd. Standing at the back was fine with me, but Friaz, (who forgot to bring her glasses), wanted a closer look. I was surprised at how easy it was to get to the front. (Note: It's my FIRST Filipino rock concert). And when I got there, I understood why. At the front of the stage, people were jumping around, head banging, and sweating like crazy! The minute we got to the front, all these rockers dressed in black, complete with goth makeup stopped and stared at us from head to toe. That was when I realized that Friaz and I had just parked ourselves in the middle of the mosh pit! What we thought was smoke coming from the front of the stage wasn't smoke at all! It was dust! Dust coming from all the wild "activity" going on. It was so weird. I nudged at Friaz and told her that we were the ONLY un-jologs people in that area, and without arguing, she agreed.

We just stood nalang at the side of the stage and watched. The bands were good. Spongecola, 6 cycle mind, Urban Dubb, Cambio, Sugarfree and Sandwich. Oh, can I just say that the new lead singer of Sandwich was dead high when he performed? He kept on falling from the stage! And then when he stripped down to his underwear... everyone held their breath, thinking that they were going to see what was underneath that. Thankfully, he wasn't high enough... whew! =p

We roamed around the fair and all of s sudden, I got the shock of my life! Someone had grabbed my arm, and when I looked to see who it was, Mike, Louie, Linell and some other dude I didn't know, stood right in front of me! (Note: they used to be my classmates, looong ago). It's weird how the world really is a SMALL world! I haven't seen them in the looongest time. Louie was different from what I remembered him to be. He smelled of alcohol, (obviously tipsy if not drunk) something that I thought he wasn't even capable of considering. He even asked for my friend's number! A far cry from the torpe Louie I used to know...

While we're on the topic of boys boys boys... alot of guys came up to us to say hi. The less "kapal" ones just stared. There was this one guy who claimed to be from the College of Fine Arts, and when we asked him what his FA major was, he answered: Interior design! *What the hell?* That course is not even available as far as I know! *sigh* The things some people say to try and impress you! There was this one guy I met, and when I wanted to leave, he held my hand and wouldn't let go! It was just SOOOOO Freaky! His eyes looked as if he was drunk, and I bet he probably was. Him and his guy friend showed us to their booth, and there, I saw someone I had been trying to avoid since the start of the year!

It was the guy who I had crushed on for the longest time, but then turned out to be a major asshole, just when I thought things were great between us. He was with his new girlfriend, and even then, I would catch him staring at me for most of the time. With HUGE eyes like that, I couldn't have been imagining it. He didn't talk to me, but he reminded his guy friend what my name was when his friend got my name wrong. He would smile at me from time to time, and I noticed that he stared alot! I felt so much pity for his new girlfriend. Not because I'm bitter or anything, but because I hope she realizes how much of a bastard her boyfriend really is...

It was a Friday night, the perfect night for a whole loada drinking. But since it was just me and Friaz, drinking was out of the question. We had to take a cab home, and since we both don't have a high tolerance to alcohol... we might end up just sleeping in the Sunken Garden instead...

Overall though, it was a great night! There was just so much to see and it made me feel soooo glad that I have a loong way to go in my college life. *whew* College is just so much fun! I'm certainly enjoying it all... all of it.... =)

    NO SEX ALLOWED!

    Olympic condoms... how cute!

Just watched Imbestigador, and I'm sooo MAD with what I just learnt. There's this new
and may I add STUPID law in Manila that condoms and contraceptive pills are banned. Okay, so the Philippines is the primary Catholic Asian country, and the church is pro-life and all... but banning birth control?

Now, what the hell is THAT?

I thought we were trying to control overpopulation. What the hell is the government upto this time? How the hell do you expect the country to develop when there are tons of people to feed? How the hell do you keep poverty to a minimum when there are loads of kids to support?

Now this is the reason why everywhere you go children are coming up to you to sell sampaguitas and hair ties. This is the reason why there are loads of street kids and pickpocketers crowding the streets...

    Really! The government is INSANE!

What with all the teen sex happening nowadays... do they realize how many girls would be pregnant by the end of the year?

What the hell do they want? For people to STOP having SEX? For STDS to be widespread? Haller!!! Think people! T H I N K!!!

Yeah the church says to go forth and multiply... but for once, fuck that! And yes, I intended the pun.

This law is stupid stupid stupid! Some people are just so outta their mind....

    Rotten Thieves!!!

Some people really really really REALLY deserve to die! And I mean it! My Mom called me today saying that our house got robbed by professional theives. They broke in through the sliding glass door with the help of an axe, and destroyed our Tv's. They also managed to use that wretched axe to open my Mom's 2 suitcases chocked full of jewelry, and they stole everything! As in... ALL my Mom's beloved jewelry!!! They also stole my sister's cell phone, and loads of money!!! I'm sooo pissed! I really REALLY am! I was crying kanina, kasi I know how much my Mom loves her jewelry! I mean, imagine! Pinaghirapan niya lahat yon!!! It's just sooo sad... I feel so bad for my Mom. The rewards of her sweat and blood... GONE! Just like that.

Well, I still have something to be thankful for. Apparently, thank God no one was at home. My family was out at someone else's place and I'm sooo thankful nothing bad happened to any of them! My Mom was even debating on whether to bring my sisters with them, so I'm glad that she took them along. I'd hate to think of what could possibly happen if my sisters were sleeping and those theives came in... with that wretched axe pa! My God! Why do such people even exist? How can they be sooo mean?
