    our sense of urgency.

    Image hosting by Photobucket

it was alright. i expected so much more, especially since alot of people claimed that the flick was better than the book. personally, though, i think it was the opposite. the grand performance was a disappointment for one. and the dialogues were sooo hard to understand! every 5 minutes we were like... "what did she say? what happened?" hell.... sana they put subtitles!

but watch it anyway. if you haven't read the book yet, that might prove to be a bigger advantage and you might enjoy it more than i did. i just tend to be a bit more of a critic when it comes to books-turned-movies. but hey, the costumes were amazing. and so was the setting. Gong li was awesome. her acting was so convincing compared to Zhang Ziyi... and personally, I find this Gong girl prettier. ;)

we ate at teriyaki boy and stuffed ourselves silly with jap food. how appropriate. there were no classes today, and it kinda sent me on some sort of guilt trip because despite the crisis happening now, we're gallivanting away in the mall. (along with ALOT of people by the way) and the only thing on our minds right now is... "may pasok na ba bukas?" yikes. we are so immature! but hey, as if naman we could do anything to fix the problem.

so on our way home, we saw this super duper cuuuuute guy on the LRT2. as in. he was sooo hot. anyway, we got all kiliiiig when he and his friends would turn to look at us. =) heehee. ruby came up with this phrase we should use every time guys turn to look at us... "geisha coming through." cos while we were walking through the station, my friends and i literally turned heads! haha. that's us. attracting attention wherever we go. so we stalked the cute guy, before saying goodbye to him forever. i hope he lives in katipunan so we can bump into each other again. ;p dork dork dork.

anyway, call me selfish whatever... but im hoping that there won't be classes again tomorrow. i've just got tons on my plate right now... and well... a few days off won't be so bad huh?

    besos!

    freak freak freak!

I swore to myself I won't watch the show, let alone get addicted. But hey, when you're quarantined at home, procrastinating like mad, and with nothing to do...

I borrowed the entire season 1 from my fabulous housemate, and totally forgot the time. i'm hooked. God help me.

    Image hosting by Photobucket

I love it I love it I love it! It's absolute madness. Took me awhile to be "cool" I know. Shame. on. moi.

Oh, and I have a new crush! IAN SOMERHALDER! He's just sooooo fuckin' hot and he's got the dreamiest eyes. I can just faint everytime his face flashes on the screen. **edit- his character died! waaaaah! why oh why oh why? why didnt they pick some ugly guy to die nalang?

    Image hosting by Photobucket

On a different note- I'm really kinda freaked out by what happened last night, while I was home alone. I was downstairs in the sala reading a book when I heard such LOUD footsteps upstairs! I am sooo not making this up. Then I heard a door bang, and so much rucus happening upstairs as if someone was cleaning! =(

What sucks is that I'm 100% sure that I was the ONLY one at home. The maid was outside (as usual) making pacute sa security guard, and my housemates were out too.

This kinda stuff happens all the time actually. In this house. My housemates and I are so used to it, but freak! It's different when I'm the only one left to deal with this shit. I've seen ghosts and heard weird stuff and all... but there were always other people around, so it was generally "safer."

Now you know why I always sleep with my iPod.

    when life becomes a bitch.

i'm sick. and it's all because i made puyat last night and drank an ICED quad venti Irish cream caramel macchiato.

Note to self- never a cold drink late at night again. ever.

my body feels like several trucks ran over it, i'm breaking into a cold sweat, and i have a fever. i sound like a total baby i know... but kasi, i hardly get sick. and im so used to having my mom take care of me. now, i have to look after myself. damn. i have to keep reminding myself that. im friggin approaching twenty! waaaah! i just wanna wake up and be 9 years old all over again.

my issues are so pathetic i know. haha.

anyway, i have made the couch downstairs my sick bed. looks like i'll be hanging around there for awhile.

You know that beach trip I was talking about? The one where we all get a grade for?

It was postponed. yes. postponed. Stupid event at school. Anyway, okay lang naman. I have two weeks to starve myself and work out like mad so I can don a bikini proudly with no shame. (i'm an exhibitionist what can i say?) hehe.

speaking of working out... im getting fab results. =) the best time to work out is after you have all your meals and you work out before you sleep. That way, you're not storing any fat, and you're still burning fat while you catch those zzzz's. It works. Trust me.

Just remember to take a nice lovely shower though before you go to bed. Sweaty bedsheets? Ew.

So tonight, I studied like mad for this exam we're having later. We divided the work, so we get ahead faster. In between, we started craving for Starbucks coffee... so Debbie treated me to an iced quad venti Irish cream caramel macchiato (whew) because I did her a HUGE favor by making a scrapbook for one of her classes. ;p Honestly, I have no idea why loads of people hate me. I'm such a nice friend right? Right? Haha. I really just love my friends. I'd do anything for them. If only them haters knew me well enough. I'm such a pushover. You can take advantage of me anytime. Haha. ;p

So we got the coffee right? And Debbie was the one behind the wheel on the way home. Grabe. Ang hirap talaga mag drive. Haha. I have this huge coffee stain on my shirt!

Got me thinking too. My sister laughs whenever I tell her I have plans of driving real real soon. In her words...

"Yeah right. You run away from the ball during volleyball games. What more a car?
Knowing you... you'll probably get a heart attack when you run into a bush!"

My sister is sooo mean. Haha. But we're like that. We diss each other 24/7.

Anyway. I should go to bed na. Toodles faggots.

p.s- i super wanna get my navel re-pierced. i've been planning it forever. hope i can take the pain one more time. my momma is gonna whop my ass when she finds out. she totally flipped when i got it done the first time. oh, and i just found out that my tongue piercing will never go away. ever. i havent worn a stud in like 5 months... and the hole is still there. amazing!

    food glorious food!

My diet is going to hell... and all I wanna do these days is eat and eat AND eat some more.

It's like I don't get tired of eating EVER! And all I ever think about is what I can eat next.

Parang I wanna eat everything edible I see.

    yeah. it's THAT bad.

    Baaaah!

Annnnd speaking of food, I miss my Mom! I miss her good ol' cooking. The brownies. The salmon. The chopsuey. The tinola. The baked lasagne. The lambchops.... I don't care... nobody does it best. I miss the way she'd always put rice on my plate even when I keep on telling her that I'm on an anti-rice diet. The way she'd really fatten me up, then laugh at my reaction when she calls me fat.

She's one of the gay-est mothers ever... and I miss how she'd make me sleep with her whenever I'm home. The way she'd make dabog like a little kid when I wouldn't tell her a secret. I can tell her anything... well almost. =p When she found out I had a crush on our neighbour, she'd tell me when he was around, and she made sure that we were introduced.

I miss how she'd make me drink red wine at parties, even when I'm not in the mood. The way she'd make a long distance call, and say... "wala lang." The way she'd tug at my shirt when it would accidentally show some skin. Oh.... and the shopping! She always buys me anything that I want. Hehe. I'm so spoilt like that.

She always worries about us kids growing up cos she doesn't wanna be called grandma. I think I'm like her in sooo many ways. We both suffer from Peter Pan syndrome. =)

I'd have lived my life if I grow up to be even half the woman that she is.

    It's her birthday this Wednesday.

    soooooo....

Happy Birthday Mamu!!! I love you to bits, and miss you to pieces!

I FINALLY saw it! =) Thankyou Jay-r for making libre! Haha. The poor guy. He had no idea that it was a gay flick, and before I could tell him... he had already bought the tickets. ;p To all those who have yet to see it... this movie is a homophobic straight man's worst nightmare. You have been warned. ;p

Before watching the movie, one of my straight guy friends made it clear to me that it was disgusting as hell. In his own words....

"niyayaksu nung isa ung isang lalaki sa wetpaks"

Whether you understood what that meant or not, *uhhh* it just brought my level of curiousity to a whole other level.

So yeah... it WAS dragging in some parts. TWO of my friends fell asleep! It was a wonder why I didn't, but I liked it nevertheless. I like movies that are different, and since this flick did not disappoint with "faggot fucks", and "faggot snogs," well... you can't get any different than THAT. =p

Watch it though. Even if you can't relate.

    UP FAIR 2006

I was there on Monday and on Friday. I was actually hoping to attend every single night, but well... eh you know what happens when people get lazy.

    Image hosting by Photobucket

This Friday, I arrived at around 9pm, just in time for the good bands to start playing. The event was SchizoFairnia- Eraserfest, meaning that it was a tribute to the first, greatest Filipino rockband of all time. The Eraserheads.

    Image hosting by Photobucket

There were sooooooo many people lined up outside.... as iiiin. The pila started from the entrance, and went all the way to the Econ building. Thanks to connections though... *ahem ahem*... I was able to pull a few strings, make singit, and get in without much hassle.

    Image hosting by Photobucket

    Image hosting by Photobucket

So I roamed around, made tambay, met a few people, bumped into fellow classmates, and rocked to the sounds of Datu's Pride, Radioactive sago, Milk n Honey, Imago, Moonstar 88, Kamikazee and them mainstream bands like Spongecola, 6 cycle mind, ................and FINALLY.... Pupil. With the main man Ely Buendia himself! His band was the last act, and get this... They came out at around 6am!!! So everyone who wanted to see him, such as moi, stayed up till 6am just to witness Pinoy rock royalty in the flesh.

    Image hosting by Photobucket

    Ooooh aaaaah! I almost died.

I looked really weird. Jumping around like a fan girl, and singing along. Haha
    .

I still can't believe I did that. We had breakfast at McDo, (thankGod it's 24 hours na) and Crystal and I were thinking the whole time...

"How come we can stay awake like that for a rock concert, and not do the same when we're studying for an exam?"

    hm.

I really should STOP staying up all night. I hardly do anything productive, and all this lack of sleep is starting to show. I look dreadful, and I can't step out of the house these days without donning shades. So, there. I will sleep at 11 or 12 every night. promise na to.

"na tinuruan mo ang puso ko na umibig ng tunay"

    Mood- happier
Music- Ang Huling El Bimbo, Eraserheads

So Valentines day. I got a rose. Oh and chocolates. thankyou. ;) But I looked and felt sooo horrible so I basically hid behind shades the whole day. I also met up with my siztahzoul... after months and months and moooooonths. God I miss her. I hardly watch her tv show, and when I do... I just end up laughing. So we made tambay in Starbucks where we just talked and talked about how boys are just soooo full of IT. And how we girls have to deal with that IT. Haha. Gosh, my soul sistah has grown up. There goes another one of the former innocents. She had so many shocking revelations... we ended up almost choking on our coffee and caused a total scandal laughing our guts out.

Shet. We're growing up! I keep forgetting. We even started talking about BABIES. Ew. I know right? Already?

    Image hosting by Photobucket

I also FINALLY met popular Jasper. Good guy. I think he found me funny. Every single word that popped out of my mouth... he laughed. hm. weird. I don't like his name though. Jasper. It's soooo.... uh.... I dunno.... it just rhymes with Casper... and that's so gay. haha. ok ok... i'll shush na. Eeeee kasi... why name your child Jasper? Hay nako. Sarap asarin.

So what I thought was the worst Valentines day ever... turned out to be pretty okay actually. why... i cant say just yet. But things are looking up... and hm.... maybe maybe. I MISSED YOU damnit. I'm glad you popped up again in my life. =)

But while we're on the topic of V Day, can I just say that I hate it? Yesterday morning I purposely made myself late for class just so I wouldn't get to experience V Day fever by my lonesome. It's not that I get terribly insecure or jealous when I see other girls with flowers, chocolates, cakes, balloons blah blah and I don't have a significant other... it's just that EVERYONE makes such a big deal over it you know? I mean, why wait for Feb 14 to profess your love? Bah it sucks. Yesterday there was traffic pa in Katipunan... and for what? Just because it was V Day? Come on.

Come to think of it though, I've never had a boyfriend who lasted till Valentines day. So you know how girlfriends always anticipate Valentine surprises? I so can't relate. Haha. I'll stop blabbing na before I start wailing "woe is meeeee woe is meeee."

Awww shit. I miss my sister.

When we really get down to it, she really is my best friend.

I love her cos she's mad.
Cos we have the same speaking voice over the phone that never fails to fool the rents.
Cos she was my first Starbucks partner.
Cos she gives me her MANGO clothes.
Cos she lets me get away with stuff I'd normally get into trouble for.
Cos she's the only one who can insult me, and get away with it.
Cos I can insult her back without the guilt.
Cos she gets all my jokes, and I have taught her well.
Cos we have the same taste in almost everything.
Cos she can cook and I can't. And she never lets me FORGET IT.
Cos she's the only one who can understand why we're obsessed with IMELDA.
Cos we both once caught Jo picking his nose, and made him open his fist to behold the snot. =D

Cos she's wearing my shirt, my necklace and my Promod jacket in the picture.

Cos she's such a katoon love and she's the only one who understands what that means.

    ;p

I saw T*** in school today. It's a sign I tell you! It's a sign! He goes to the tiger university, and it's been two years since I first met him, (and last saw him). So what are the chances that he just happens to be making tambay in UP, and I happen to be in the vicinity? ;p Ooooh I love signs.

He's soooo cuute, and I almost fainted right then and there when our eyes met. We had a moment! aaaaaaaaaAAAAAHHHHH! And it lasted for 10 seconds! (I counted I swear!) =p We both opened our mouths to say something, but then hesitated, and then..... that was it. How torpe can we both get right? It actually just occurred to me that he was T*** when I was already walking away.

Aaaaaah! He's sooo hot. I can go on forever how hot he is.

So I bump into Don after, and I go...

"Hey, I just saw T***. I have a crush on him! Diba you guys used to be high school classmates?"

And out of all things I DID NOT expect to hear... Don goes....

"Ah yun? Bakla daw yun eh!"

5 second pause. somebody please hold me.

"Wehhhh? Talaga? Seryoso? KAINIS KA! Baka sinisiraan mo lang ah!"

"Rumor lang yun. Pero I heard na he just came out."

    And just like that.

    My dreams were shattered.

    I loathe sexual confusions.

    one size fits all.

I missed half of my younger years, because I never actually got to play with this.

    Image hosting by Photobucket

    Till today.

    Image hosting by Photobucket

    ooh ahh lala.

You know how kids snoop around their parents' stuff, find a box of condoms, and play with them because they aren't quite sure what condoms are for? Cosmo's Feb issue had a free sample of a Premium dotted strawberry flavored one, and since I've never actually "touched" one... (like hello? female female. conservative conservative. (???)).... I spent a glorious 15 minutes stretching it out with my fingers, and blowing a balloon out of it. Haha. Yes, I'm verrrrry strange.

Until it tore and was no more.

In fairness... it's sticky ah! I didn't know THAT!

Loads of stuff are gonna be happening this month and I'm SUPERRRR excited! NOT counting the day of mush, with them hearts, cupids, cakes, chocolates and flowers. (Valentine? Schmalentine!) blech.

There's the UP fair... which I plan on attending almost every night until it ends. ;) Kita kits mga friends! Punta kayo ha!

And then there's CALAPAN MINDORO/ Puerto Galera!

    Image hosting by Photobucket

It's required for our class. ;) So.... yahoo! I get a grade for being on a beach? Very very very cool.

I CANNOT wait to camwhore! Haha. Where there's a beach, my vanity just goes into this entire new level. ;) I'm bringing Cheeky too, because I love her faggot ass and Juicy wants her to get buzzed on the Mindoro sling thingamajig. Haha. Yet another alcohol session with people who act reaaaaally stupid when drunk. This should be interesting. When my friends get drunk, you'll witness the strangest scenes. Murder threats, stranglings, strip teases, modelling down a straight line, etc.

    Image hosting by Photobucket

I think I'll bring a bottle of tequila too. just. for. fun.

Crap! My recent-est posts disappeared into the sh*thole I call cyberspace. Bah humbug!I shall blog about the night of blowjob shots, screaming orgasms, tequila sunrises, pina coladas, and the hot hunk who we wished was on the menu instead.... some other time when I'm feeling not so lazy.

    Till then.

I just had to greet the nigga man a HAPPY (*GASP!*) TWENTIETH BIRTHDAY!

    Image hosting by Photobucket

*Here's to faggot conversations about hookers, and Japanese schoolgirl fantasies. ;p
*For never being able to keep a secret. (haha. okay okay. ONCE!)
*For driving me home all the way down south, only to go back all the way up north.
*For stealing a 100 fils from my bag waaaay back in grade school.
*For having such a huge "protruding' African ass I'd always tease you about.
*For never getting on my nerves unlike 'some' of your friends. ;p
*For being the only one to call me "Maria" and get away with it.

You suck Twumyboy! Haha. Happy birthday. =)

Yesterday, I went to school to watch a film with Boobie lovey, entitled "Ora Pro Nobis." It was required for both our classes, and as usual, being the faggots that we are...

Ruby- "I wonder what language the film will be in. Hmmm.... Orapronobis.... I hope the prono means porn."

Me- "Onga noh. Haha. Sana. Sana."

    i look so dorky. haha.

    Well.
It wasn't a porno film. (sayang! hehe.)

BUT... it was brilliant nevertheless. A real Filipino movie with substance. Now, those are the kind of films I like. Films about stuff that could happen, or in this case, HAVE happened.

I left the theater, and it was like, my world was not the same anymore. It was THAT disturbing!I cried buckets when Gina Alajar was raped in front of her 6 year old son. When her son was shot in the head. When Philip held his son's body... Basta. The movie made me realize alot of things. Like how my friends and I always have something mundane to complain about- like boyfriends, tv programs, deadlines, schoolwork.... People back in the day on the other hand, feared for their lives. They were arrested and put to death without warning. Taken away in the middle of the night, and never heard from or found again.

I have a whole new layer of respect for activists. I really do. Lino Brocka rocks.
